On Sunday, June 28, 2015, over one hundred people visited ten different homes and historical buildings. A member of the Historical Society greeted the visitors and shared information about the sites in the time line of history for the City of Beachwood. Participants got to see some real gems like the Hangar, Gund Mansion and Van Swerigen Homes. In addition, the tour included a stop at a beautiful Civil War era home.
Rain did not stop the bikers who rode through our City's History. Whether you drove your own car, hopped on the vans, walked or biked, you learned a great deal of information about our City of Beachwood. The sun appeared through the clouds just in time for delicious desserts and treats that were served in our Park located on Shaker Blvd.
Special thanks to all of the home owners who were so gracious to allow us to visit. Thank you to the Mayor, the Manager Alan of Aloft Hotel, Karen from Community Services, the Fire Chief, Beachwood Historical Society Members, the drivers of the vans and all of the wonderful volunteers as well.
This day will go down in our History! Happy 100th Birthday Beachwood!
