First Ladies Display
The RNC came to Cleveland Ohio this year. The Beachwood Historical Society wanted to celebrate during this year of a Presidential Election by remembering the First Ladies.
First Ladies Dolls were made by the Danbury Mint. They were on Loan from Marlene, a collector of dolls. The dolls were wearing the dresses that were worn by the President's wives at the Inauguration Parties and Balls.
The dress to the left is a copy of the dress worn by Maime Eisenhower that is now on display at the Smithsonian.
